Mini Cooper one of the best priced smaller cars of 2005...

2005 BMW Mini Cooper (base price $19,950) This cheerful little thing makes you say "Oh, Behave!" every time you open the garage door -- especially if ordered with the extra cost Union Jack decal spread all over the roof.
Like the original Mini Cooper of the 1960s, the modern Mini -- which is actually built by BMW and uses many 3-Series parts -- is small on the outside but impressively roomy on the inside -- even for drivers well over six feet tall. The interior has lots of metal-faced, retro-style touches -- including an off-center center mounted speedo with a big tach right behind the steering wheel -- and old-timey toggle switches to turn things off and on.
The standard engine is small -- just 1.6 liters and 115-hp -- but this is a small (and light) car, so performance is snappy, especially if you stick with the standard 5-speed manual gearbox. Motorheads can also pony up for the supercharged S model -- which bumps the output by about 50 to 168 horsepower. Still not enough? For 2005, a dealer-installed John Works package takes it up yet another notch, to 200 horsepower -- which ought to be more than enough to impress Mrs. Kensington.
Groovy Baby.
