Plea

Many of you who know me, know that I struggle with faith. I have for years. It is hard for me to pray, when I have no idea who I am praying too...

However...

My dad is very very sick. Last week he had 5 stints placed in the arteries around his heart. He is scheduled for two more to be placed in his arteries leading to his kidneys on Nov 4.

Two nights ago he began puking. A lot. He has very little of his colon left, and normally as soon as he eats, he has to go to the bathroom. He has not done so since he began puking, and even though he has not been able to keep anything down, this is something that is very important.

Yesterday morning, my step mom took him to the hospital. They sent him home, and told her to keep watch over him for any changes. This morning they were right back at the emergency room.

Long story short, they have a tube going down into his stomach, pumping out blood. A lot of blood. More blood than I think I have ever seen in one confined place. When I went there to see him earlier today, they were not doing this, they started it at 5. From 5 until I left at 7 or so, the canister that it pumps into was full and the second one was very close to being full.

He has a slow hemorrhage somewhere. It is leaking into his stomach somehow. They have no idea where or how. My step mom is currently waiting for them to decide what the next move is to find out.

He does not look good. Normally pretty dark complected from the sun weathering his skin, when I saw him tonight, all I could think of was how yellow he looked. How sunk his face, his features looked. How small he was laying in that bed, hardly being able to speak.

Please, keep him in your hearts. Your prayers, or whatever you do as individuals.

Thank you.
